Shots in the Night Pride Show

This show is a salute to the LGBT Community in recognition of June as Pride Month. Listener discretion is advised as the content of this material is intended for mature audiences and may not be suitable for children.  (That’s ironic as the humor is generally somewhat sophomoric and may not be appreciated by adults!)

In this show, we have several poignant and humorous sketches, featuring the creative talents of the Shots in the Night Radio Theatre ensemble.

Parental dynamics are examined in “Is Junior Gay?” by Mark Naggi.  Then we’ll see how mothers-in-law affect relationships in “Acceptance Exception’ by Mike Donnici. Our Poetry Corner tonight showcases “Screwing with Dad,” written and performed by Scott Turner. Next, hear how alternative life styles fit with over the road trucking at the “Open Road Trucking School” by Mike Donnici.  Rhon Dennis examines the rigors of drag queen beauty contests and our current political environment in “And A Queen Shall Lead Them”. Finally, we have a children’s story about “Buttons the Bear,” written and performed by Katie Hogan.

We also have the Transfinity KC Chorus under the direction of Grace Cox Johnson, recorded live at All Soul’s Unitarian Universalist Church in Kansas City, as musical guests on the show.
